Step 1: Be careful when removing and washing the jacket.
Most latex mattresses have removable and washable covers. When cleaning, please remember: use cold water in a gentle cycle, use a neutral detergent, do not bleach, and do not dry clean. Just let it air dry after washing. Do not wash the inner core with water. If it gets dirty, wipe the area with a damp cloth dipped in a neutral detergent, then use a dry towel to absorb the moisture and let it air dry in a ventilated area.
Step 2: Regularly "turn over"
Although latex mattresses have good resilience, sleeping in the same position for a long time can still create permanent indentations. It is recommended to flip the new mattress over every month for the first three months, and then switch directions every 2-3 months thereafter. This allows the mattress to bear weight evenly and extends its lifespan.
Step 3: Maintain ventilation and dryness
A latex mattress is like a "big sponge" that easily absorbs moisture from the air. If it is laid on a tightly sealed bed board for a long time, the bottom is prone to mold. It is recommended to use slatted bed frames and to periodically stand the mattress upright to let it air out. If you live in the south during the rainy season, you might consider placing a moisture-proof mat under the mattress.
Step 4: Use the protective cover properly
Using a waterproof and breathable protective cover for a latex mattress can effectively prevent sweat, bodily fluids, and drinks from penetrating into the mattress. Latex is most susceptible to oils and sweat stains, and prolonged contact can accelerate its aging. When the protective cover gets dirty, just wash the cover itself; it's convenient and hygienic.
